Atlético Nacional Confirms Juan Camilo Pérez as Interim Coach Following Bodmer’s Departure
After the sudden departure of Jhon Bodmer as the head coach of Atlético Nacional, the purslane team wasted no time in announcing their new interim strategist. Juan Camilo Pérez has been confirmed as the new coach who will lead the team in the upcoming games while the search for a permanent coach continues.
Joining Pérez in the interim coaching staff are Sebastián Pulido as technical assistant, Camilo Quintero as physical trainer, and Milton Patiño as goalkeeping coach. The team will also benefit from the experience and guidance of Professor Francisco Maturana, who will serve as an advisor during Pérez’s time as interim coach.
Initially, there were speculations that Diego Arias, Bodmer’s former technical assistant, would take over as interim coach. However, the team decided to promote from within and entrust the leadership to Pérez.
Pérez is no stranger to the Atlético Nacional team, having previously served as the leader of the scouting department and recruiting promising talents for the team’s academy. He also has experience as a technical assistant, having worked under Alejandro Restrepo when he had to temporarily replace Juan Carlos Osorio in 2020.
