Departure and arrival from Passo Paradiso with 4 climbs and as many descents with a total difference in altitude of approximately 1400m. the first ascent took the athletes to the Castellaccio Pass, the second ascent under the Lagoscuro peak, the third to the Presena Pass where they went around the cable car in the opposite direction as they usually do, after which they descended the entire Pista del Cantiere and ascended towards the finish line .
THE RANKING:
In the women’s category, home champion Corinna Ghirardi made a quick comeback who, after second place in the vertical, crossed the finish line first, stopping the clock at 1h52’45”. Behind her, the Transalpine Corinne Favre (2h06’45”) and the German Evi Gudelius (2h10’16”).
In the overall ranking, the Austrian Cristian Hoffmann makes no concessions, also winning the individual in 1h34’49”. Second place for the timeless Filippo Beccari (1h41’05”), while third was the always competitive Giovanni Zamboni (1h44’41”).
NEXT STOP STRALUNATA:
On Tuesday at Aprica, in addition to the classic ski mountaineering meeting open to agonists and amateurs, the 18th Stralunata will be the “by night” race of the WWMG Lombardia 2024. For the winning series the format will not change, the 2024 winners will be decided by the very famous Super Panoramica of Baradello with start in the town (1160m above sea level) and arrival at Rifugio Dal Brusca (1980 m above sea level) after having climbed 5.5 km of the longest illuminated slope in Europe. At the end of the ski mountaineering meeting, everyone went to the sports hall in via Magnolta 32 for the “Pizzocchero Party” and awards ceremony.
