Liga de Quito emerged victorious in a dominant display against Imbabura in the LigaPro. The ‘Albos’ showcased their strength against their opponents, with Álex Arce stealing the show with a remarkable performance, scoring his first hat-trick in the LigaPro.

The win sees Liga de Quito climb up the standings, joining the top teams in the league with 9 points, despite having played fewer games. The victory was crucial for the Whites after their recent defeat in the capital’s Superclásico against Aucas.

Álex Arce continues to shine as the leading goal scorer for Liga de Quito and one of the standout signings of the Ecuadorian championship. The Paraguayan striker now leads the national tournament with 7 goals in just 4 games, with a total of 8 including his goal against Fluminense in the South American Cup Winners’ Cup.

In the lead-up to the match, Liga de Quito faced Imbabura in a bid to secure three points and stay in contention at the top of the table. Despite their previous loss to Aucas, the ‘Albos’ were determined to bounce back and continue their strong form in the league.

Imbabura, on the other hand, aimed to spring a surprise and continue their positive momentum by taking down the White House. Coming off a victory against Orense and a draw against Cumbayá, Imbabura looked to cause an upset against their formidable opponents from the capital.
