TREVISO

2021 was a golden season and, in view of the start of the new vintage, Trevisatletica continues to think big. The club of president Rolando Zuccon has formalized four new arrivals that will strengthen the youth and absolute teams. Thanks to the new collaboration with the CorpoLibero, a trio of astists formed by Leonardo Bigotto and his sisters Giovanna and Giulia Doria has arrived. Bigotto, 15, in 2021 won the tricolor bronze at the Italian cadet championships in Parma, closing the outdoor season with a personal of 4.02. On December 30th, in the indoor competition in Padua, he climbed to 4.17, achieving his best result ever. In 2022 he is expected to make his debut in the junior category and there are all the conditions for a great season.

The same age Giovanna Doria is just in her second year of activity and in October she finished seventh in the Italian cadet championships, bringing the staff to 3.05. In the Trevisatletica jersey he will have at his side his sister Giulia, 20 years old, in the second season in the promising category, in 2021 rising to 3.42. For Leonardo and Giovanna the formula is that of a loan, Giulia has instead arrived in Trevisatletica definitively.

In the new season the javelin player Marco De Nadai, on loan from Vittorio Atletica, will also compete with Trevisatletica. 27 years old, but already with a long career behind him that also saw him climb the tricolor podium in the youth categories, he has a personal best of 64.69 and in the Trevisatletica jersey he will have the opportunity to redeem a 2021 season conditioned by an injury.

Trevisatletica has been arriving for a year in gold and blue. On an individual level, the double final (400 and 4×400) won by Samantha Zago at the U23 European Championships in Talllin stands out, after the athlete from Treviso had also won bronze in the tricolor category review in winter. While among the youngest we should remember the three Italian titles won by the cadets Rebecca Agbortabi (300 and 4×100) and Anita Nalesso (weight), as well as the silver placed around the neck by Beatrice Buso (300 hurdles). Tricolor podium also for Manuel Bresolin, third in the 110 obstacles at the Italian students’ championships. There are then twenty titles posted in the various regional championships.

At the club level, the historic second place of the men’s team in the Bronze final of the absolute Italian club championships on track should be emphasized, a result that is worth the pass for the Silver final of 2022. –
