Trevisatletica dominates the Italian road masters: Gobbo finishes second The eldest wins the SM85s a stone’s throw from home: he also beats the passing of time

Paolo Zanatta is the new Italian master 35 champion of 5 km on the road. The athlete from Volpago wears the flag in front of teammate in Trevisatletica Simone Gobbo and Mirko Signorotto (HRobert Running Team). An all-Treviso podium in Pieve di Soligo among the under 40s in the review that led, along a 2.5 km route to be repeated twice, over 350 masters, from the SM35 to the SM85 category. The uniform of the oldest of the festival, Mario Lorenzon (Atl. Valdobbiadene), who wins a stone’s throw from home (lives in Solighetto), is also colored green, white and red. The other Italian “Treviso” title is the one won by Pasqualina Da Re (Atl. Vittorio Veneto) in the SF70 category.
Between Piazza Balbi Valier (departure) and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II (arrival) there are also ten best Italian performances in the category. Five regional titles also go to Treviso (Zanatta, Mazzer, Da Re, Emilio, Lorenzon). To anticipate the start of the national competitions, a long applause in memory of Giulia Marin, 22-year-old hurdler of Team Treviso, who passed away on Thursday due to illness.
