Chinese women’s ranking leader Zhu Ting updated her social media dynamics in the early morning of the 6th Beijing time, revealing that she was already recovering after surgery.
Zhu Ting posted a few pictures of herself in recovery on her social media account with the simple text: “Surgery-gypsum board-large protective gear-small protective gear. Focus on recovery and feel progress.” However, Zhu Ting did not disclose the specific time and location of the operation.
Before the operation, Zhu Ting’s wrist injury had lasted for several years, and she also fought with the injury when she led the Chinese women’s volleyball team to win the World Cup in 2019. At the Tokyo Olympics in the summer of 2021, Zhu Ting failed to perform at her best due to a wrist injury. After the Tokyo Olympics, Zhu Ting decided to go abroad for surgery.
Zhu Ting was absent from this year’s roster for the Chinese women’s volleyball training camp due to the need for surgery and rehabilitation, and it is unclear when she will be able to return.
The 27-year-old Zhu Ting is in charge of the main attack and is the core figure of the Chinese women’s volleyball team in the Rio Olympic Games and Tokyo Olympic Games.
