The French startup Lili for Lifewhich has already created the LILI lamp to help dyslexics read better, presents at CES 2024 the LILI Monitor.
It is a screen that integrates its technology pulsed lightwhich allows you to delete mirrored images which form in the brains of dyslexics during reading, causing difficulty and fatigue.
Lili Monitor: what it is and how it fights dyslexia
The monitor incorporates the technology of the LILI lamp, presented for the first time at CES 2022 and winner of the USA TODAY award in the Best of Tech category. This, together with the Lili Pro lamp, presented at CES 2023, have already demonstrated the benefits of pulsed light technology. A satisfaction survey conducted by OpinionWay revealed that Most dyslexic users of the Lili lamp found word identification easier and reading fluency.
The Lili Monitor, which incorporates the same technology, represents a step forward for multi-media reading. The monitor, like the lamp, is easy to set up and use, and can be controlled via a smartphone app.
How exactly does it work?
Pulsed light technology was created by two French physicists, Albert Le Floch e Guy Roparswho discovered that Dyslexics have two dominant eyes, unlike normal readers. This causes a soverlap of images in the brain during reading, which makes it difficult to distinguish the letters. The pulsed light, which it emits flashes of light invisible to the naked eye, creates a time lag in the visual perception of letters, eliminating duplicate images. In this way, reading becomes faster, less tiring and more understandable.

The monitor will arrive on the market starting from the second half of 2024.
The Lili for Life crowdfunding campaign
Lili for Life has already started its international expansion, distributing his lamp in several European countries, thanks to partnerships with distributors such as Softline and Douglas Stewart in the UK.
Now the startup is focusing on the American market, where Dyslexia is a widespread problem, affecting approximately 1 in 5 children (according to the US National Institutes of Health). To support this innovation, Lili for Life has launched a crowdfunding campaign via the KissKissBankBank platform, which allows you to pre-order the new LILI Monitor.
The campaign started on January 8, 2024 and will last 6 weeks, with the aim of raise 40,000 euros.
