Remedy Entertainment‘s Sam Lake recently revealed in an interview with Exputer that the highly-anticipated DLC for Alan Wake 2 won’t be providing the same treatment to Control as Control’s DLC did for the first Alan Wake.
According to Lake, the upcoming expansions for Alan Wake 2 will focus on unexplored aspects of the universe, offering glimpses into the world of the Federal Bureau of Control and its role in setting up Alan Wake 2. While the Control sequel was teased in the AWE expansion, it seems that the Alan Wake 2 DLC will not be as directly tied to setting up the next installment in the Control series.
Fans eager for news about Control 2 will have to carefully read between the lines and wait patiently, as the game is still in the proof-of-concept stage. Remedy Entertainment is clearly taking its time to carefully craft and expand the shared universe, promising intriguing storylines and connections for fans to uncover in the upcoming DLC.
