The artificial intelligence war between the Big Tech giants is also a purchasing campaign. This was revealed by the latest investigation by the Financial Times, according to which Apple has stolen dozens of AI experts from Google so as to create a secret European laboratory in Zurich with a team to fight rivals in the development of new artificial intelligence models and products.

According to Ft, which cross-referenced hundreds of LinkedIn profiles, public job advertisements and research documents, in recent years Apple has undertaken a series of hirings to expand its global AI and Machine Learning team. The iPhone maker has particularly targeted Google workers, attracting at least 36 specialists since it recruited John Giannandrea as its top artificial intelligence executive in 2018.
