Final Fantasy XVI’s The Rising Tide Expansion Pack Brings Exciting New Features

After feeling underwhelmed by the first expansion for Final Fantasy XVI, Echoes of the Fallen, Henric is eagerly anticipating the release of The Rising Tide expansion pack on April 18. Square Enix recently dropped the first trailer for the new expansion, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.

One of the most exciting elements of The Rising Tide is the promise of a more fleshed-out story and variety in enemy encounters. The trailer showcases Clive and the crew as they journey to Mysidia, facing off against the mighty Leviathan in an epic battle. Additionally, players will have access to new water-based Eikon capabilities to aid them in their quest.

In addition to the new story content, The Rising Tide will introduce new gameplay modes for players to enjoy. The endgame mode Kairos Gate will present 20 challenging stages for players to conquer, while the level cap will be raised to Level 60 in story-focused mode and Level 110 in Final Fantasy mode.

For those who may be hesitant to purchase the expansion, Square Enix has also announced a free 1.30 update that will launch on the same day. This update includes various quality-of-life improvements such as a new Quick Complete feature, updated icons for role tasks, a new skill set feature, and adjustments to skills and accessories for easier use.

With these exciting new additions on the horizon, fans of Final Fantasy XVI have plenty to look forward to next month. Will you be diving back into the world of Final Fantasy XVI with The Rising Tide expansion?
