Google Photos has announced that its Magic Editor feature, which allows users to quickly delete objects using AI, will now be available for all users for free. The tool had initially been exclusive to Pixel phone users and Google One subscribers, but will now be accessible to all Google Photos users.
The Magic Editor feature has been praised for its ability to perform advanced photo editing tasks quickly and easily, with the help of artificial intelligence. Users can easily remove unwanted objects or people from images, adjust colors, highlight elements, and apply artistic effects with just a few taps on the screen.
However, there will be some restrictions in place for free users. According to reports, users will have a limited number of free edits each month with the Magic Editor, after which they will need to subscribe to Google One for unlimited access or wait until the next month for a new quota of free edits.
Despite these new conditions, current Google One subscribers will continue to have unlimited access to the Magic Editor. Additionally, Google Photos has introduced new features for organizing content, such as categorizing images into specific groups like animals, art, travel, and more. Users can also activate an “Automatic archive” function to hide images after 30 days, keeping their albums clutter-free.
