To combat climate change and protect our environment, we must replace fossil fuels with renewable energies. This necessary development presents us with major technical and social challenges.
Researchers from KIT’s Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis are working in the ENSURE project on, among other things, the questions of how decisions on the energy transition can be made fair and sustainable despite time pressure and how security of supply and the use of renewable energies can be reconciled.
