Because the Ziehnupsi is missing, I can’t go home
On the way home I take a little detour to quickly drop off a package at the post office. I park the car in one of the 30-minute parking spaces with a parking disc and, as always, put the car key in my jacket pocket. “Oh,” I think, “the zipper is missing the pull button!” and still close the jacket pocket zipper with pointed fingers.
When I get out of the post office, I want to take the car key out of my jacket pocket, but the zipper doesn’t open. I pluck, pull, tug, then I take a closer look: Oh shit, it’s one of those where the ZIehnupsi also moves a small bracket or something like that to loosen the hold of the slider. Of course that’s stupid because I can’t get my car keys so I can’t drive home. I have to laugh because the problem is so stupid, but of course that doesn’t solve it.
At least I can open the car with the key in my pocket, even if I can’t drive off. I search the car for items that I could use to trick the small bar, but everything I find is too rough and large. Walking home would be possible, but it would take longer than 30 minutes and I would risk a ticket for leaving the car parked too long. I look around and see that the shoemaker’s workshop is open. They certainly have ironing tricks in stock and the boss, I know, is very nice. So I go to the workshop and, giggling, talk about my misfortune. The boss giggles along and helps me out with a paper clip. And not only that: She also offers me a new pull-on to buy, because she has some in stock. Great! I buy one with the last of my pocket coins.
On the way to the car, I immediately realized that I didn’t understand how I was supposed to open the Nupsi hanging bracket to repair the zipper. In any case, the instructions drawn don’t make any sense to me. I’ll probably have to google it later at home. So that I don’t accidentally lock the new Nupsi in the broken bag by then and create new stupid problems, I close the now empty jacket pocket as a precaution.
