Microsoft Signs 10-Year Content Licensing Agreement with Boosteroid
In a move to expand the reach of its popular Xbox Game Pass service and game content from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft has signed a 10-year content licensing agreement with Boosteroid, a cloud streaming game company based in Kiev, Ukraine.
Last year, Microsoft had already made a commitment to acquire Activision Blizzard, and as part of that agreement, they have now partnered with Boosteroid to provide game titles from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda through the cloud streaming service. This means that players will have access to a wider range of games and content through the Boosteroid platform.
In order to access Microsoft’s content on the Boosteroid service, players will need to have a Boosteroid service account as well as an Xbox Game Pass membership. This will allow them to stream games from the Xbox Game Pass service and purchase additional game content from the Microsoft Store.
The Boosteroid service is compatible with a variety of devices including Windows PC, Mac, Android, iOS, and Android TV. This aligns with Microsoft’s goal of making the Xbox Game Pass service available on more platforms, ensuring that they do not violate any market monopolies.
Additionally, the Boosteroid service offers cross-platform saving capabilities, enabling players to easily switch between different devices and continue their gameplay progress seamlessly.
With games from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda now available on Boosteroid, players can expect a more versatile and accessible gaming experience. This partnership between Microsoft and Boosteroid marks a significant step in expanding the reach of game content to players around the world.
