The Federal Office for Security in Information Technology (BSI) published a security advisory for ownCloud on April 18, 2024. Several vulnerabilities have been discovered in the application of this software that can be exploited by attackers. The operating systems Android, UNIX and Windows as well as the ownCloud product ownCloud are affected by the security gap.

ownCloud is an on-premise file sharing and collaboration platform.

A remote attacker could exploit multiple vulnerabilities in ownCloud to create a denial of service condition or bypass security measures.

The vulnerabilities were classified using the CVE designation system (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) by their individual serial numbers CVE-2024-26320, CVE-2024-26321, CVE-2024-26322, CVE-2024-26325 und CVE-2024-26326.
