PlayStation Plus Premium will fulfill one of its great pending promises

The team behind the Sony subscription service is dedicated to expanding the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog with classic PS1 and PS2 titles. With the upcoming release of new PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games in March 2024, players are eagerly anticipating what titles will be added to the lineup.

One of the main focuses for the service is to address the notable absence of PS1 and PS2 games in the Premium catalog. Subscribers have been vocal about their desire to see more classic titles available for play on PS5 and PS4. To address this concern, the team at Implicit Conversions, who are responsible for emulating PS1 and PS2 games on current systems, are working closely with Sony to bring a variety of new games to the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog.

Robin Lavallée and Jake Stine from Implicit Conversions have expressed their excitement about the prospect of expanding the catalog and seeing the community’s reactions to the new additions. As players eagerly await the release of new games, it remains to be seen what surprises await in the coming months.

In the meantime, seven games are set to be removed from PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in March 2024. The titles include Civilization 6, Code Vein, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Haven, NEO: The World Ends With You, Outer Wilds, and Tchia. Players have until March 19 to play these games before they are removed from the service.

As the service continues to evolve and grow, players can expect to see a more diverse selection of games available for their enjoyment. Stay tuned for updates on new additions to the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog.
