Sega Rumored to be Working on Sonic Heroes Remaster with Unreal Engine 5

Sega has been on a remastering spree lately, with Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi being some of the titles that have received the treatment. And now, it seems that the beloved blue hedgehog, Sonic, is next in line for a remaster.

According to insider Zippo, Sega has been considering delivering a Sonic Heroes remaster using the latest Unreal Engine 5. This rumor has been further supported by a report from Universo Nintendo, which stated that the remaster is indeed in the works and will be released on multiple platforms including PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the successor to the Nintendo Switch.

While there is no official release window yet and this information should be taken with caution as it is still just a rumor, fans of the Sonic franchise are already buzzing with excitement at the prospect of a Sonic Heroes remake.
