Sony Reveals Most Downloaded PlayStation Games of 2023
Sony has released its list of the most downloaded games across the entire PlayStation Store for 2023, revealing some interesting trends in both the European and North American markets.
In Europe, the top PS4 and PS5 game turned out to be EA Sports FC 24, which is surprising considering the game only debuted in September. Following closely behind on the PS5 charts are Hogwarts Legacy and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, while Minecraft and Red Dead Redemption 2 round out the podium on the PS4 charts.
In North America, the rankings look a little different. Hogwarts Legacy tops the PS5 charts, with Modern Warfare III in second and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in third. On the PS4 charts, Modern Warfare III takes the top spot, with Hogwarts Legacy and MLB The Show 23 following closely behind.
When it comes to PS VR2 rankings, both Europe and North America have similar standings. Pavlov leads in both regions, with Kayak VR: Mirage taking second place in Europe and Beat Saber in third. In North America, Kayak VR takes third place. The top three PSVR game sales in Europe consist of Job Simulator, Beat Saber, and Superhot VR, while North America sees Beat Saber at the top, with Job Simulator and Superhot VR not far behind.
In the free game rankings for PS4 and PS5, three games in both markets are on the podium, with “Fortnite” at the top, “Roblox” at second, and “Call of Duty: Warzone” ranked third.
