Just last week, the popular farming RPG game “Stardew Valley” released its highly anticipated 1.6 update on March 20th. The update brought in a surge of returning players, surpassing all expectations by setting a new record for the number of online players on Steam.
According to SteamDB, “Stardew Valley” has maintained a daily peak of 40,000 to 60,000 players over the past year. However, after the 1.6 update and the introduction of the Desert Festival, the game shattered its previous records. The peak number of players reached 90,000 and even peaked at 236,614 players online at the same time in the following days.

In addition to the success of “Stardew Valley”, fans are eagerly anticipating Barone’s next project, “The Haunted Chocolate Shop”. While there have been no new updates on the game since its announcement in 2021, Barone reassured fans that he is eager to get back to work on it once the Stardew 1.6 update is bug-free and available on all platforms.
