Stefan Raab is reportedly planning a new streaming channel

Stefan Raab returns: on September 14th, the TV legend will get into the ring once again against ex-professional boxer Regina Halmich. But that’s not all. According to industry insiders, he is planning to set up his own streaming channel.

Around ten years after leaving TV, the now 57-year-old is about to make a comeback. As “Bild” has learned from television industry circles, Raab wants to set up his own streaming service. With big differences compared to classic television.

The streaming channel should be aimed primarily at smartphone users and will therefore come in 9:16 and not in 16:9 format. So that users can conveniently view the content on their own cell phone. Raab is already in discussions with the first production companies to work on the implementation.

It is still unclear what content will be shown on the channel. It is quite possible that the show fight will begin in September. A music show is also planned. However, Raab himself should move more in the background and, with a few exceptions, not be seen in front of the camera.

Stefan Raab significantly shaped the German television landscape in the early 2000s. Not only with the comedy show “TV total”, but also with various big shows such as “Schlag den Raab” or the “Wok World Cup”. He made his last television appearance in 2015. At the beginning of this year he founded the production company Raab Entertainment.
