Telekom provides customers with unlimited data volume

Good news for Deutsche Telekom mobile customers. When the 2024 Men’s European Football Championship takes place in the summer, there will be free data volume – unlimited.

The gift campaign covers the entire European Championship and will take place from June 14th to July 14th, 2024. You don’t have to activate the free data volume. It should be automatically activated for all users in the Telekom network on the deadline. It makes no difference which tariff you have taken out.

“This tournament is the biggest sporting event of this decade. Deutsche Telekom is a proud partner of UEFA. We supply EM Germany with high-speed networks, provide worldwide TV images, and bring this tournament closer to our customers with various fan campaigns. We want to create a summer football party and can’t wait to kick off,” said Michael Hagspihl, Senior Vice President Global Strategic Projects and Marketing Partnerships.

However, the campaign is not entirely self-serving. Telekom wants to use this to promote its streaming service MagentaTV. MagentaTV will be able to show all 51 games from this year’s European Championship in UHD, five of which will be exclusive. Thanks to the unlimited data volume, you can easily watch the games on the go. Provided network coverage cooperates.

“We ensure that everyone – the teams, the fans, the entire organization and the many hard-working hands around the tournament – can use the best telecom network. The best network is in demand everywhere: in stadiums, fan zones, training grounds, team hotels, train stations, airports, hotels and at fans’ homes. During the EM, the network will be subjected to even more strain, especially in terms of capacity. We will prepare for that. Because a perfect host also ensures a perfect network,” says Telekom EM boss Michael Hagspihl.
