Nintendo (Hong Kong) Celebrates MAR10 DAY at New Town Plaza in Sha Tin
Nintendo (Hong Kong) is bringing a fun-filled event to New Town Plaza in Sha Tin to celebrate MAR10 DAY. The event, called “HAPPY MAR10 DAY,” will be taking place from now until March 17 and will feature a range of exciting activities for fans of the iconic Mario series.
The event will be set up in the experience area in the east wing of the first floor of New Town Plaza. Activities at the event will include a MAR10 DAY themed photography area, Mario series game trial experiences, priority product sales, Mario meet-and-greets, and much more.
One of the highlights of the event is the MAR10 DAY themed check-in space, where attendees can visit three different check-in spots, including a special theme wall, Mario water pipe scene, and special lightbox. Those who complete the “Nintendo Account Sign-in” task will receive a “Mario-shaped small object storage pendant.”
In the game experience area, attendees can try out various games for free, including the yet-to-be-released “Princess Peach Show!” and the already released “Mario vs. Donkey Kong.” There will also be games like “Super Mario Bros. Amazing” and “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition” available for trial, with the chance to receive a sticker after playing.
Additionally, there will be a “Pikmin 4” game experience area on the second floor of New City Plaza Phase 3, where attendees can experience the game and receive free Pikmin paper hats.
The main venue will also feature a HAPPY MAR10 DAY limited-time store, offering limited-edition Mario peripherals such as blanket sets, shaking tower toy sets, and water bead sets. There will also be a pop-up store selling Tomica Mariokart mini car models, with special gifts available for on-site purchases.
Mario fans will also have the opportunity to meet and greet the iconic character at the event on March 15th and 16th, with three meet-and-greet sessions each day. Mario will be available for close-range photos, and free Mario paper hats will be distributed at the main venue.
