Volvo sees the future of the automobile as electric and below 180 km/h. On the one hand, this fits together because you can’t drive fast for long with electric cars anyway. On the other hand, the future has not yet begun everywhere, which is why we somewhat regret the voluntary self-restriction in the case of the powerful EX 30. The compact model introduced last year is the latest addition to the electric fleet and the smallest SUV that Volvo has ever built. It is available with a motor on the rear axle and 272 hp (200 kW), which is how the test car was equipped, and as an all-wheel drive with a second motor at the front and a system output of 428 hp, which makes it the most powerful Volvo in sprints – with less than four seconds from zero to a hundred.
