The curious and intelligent toilet at CES 2024, only works with your voice

At the CES 2024 technology fair, a new product will be presented, the PureWash E930, a toilet seat priced at $2,149 and that can be operated with voice commands. It is designed to make the common toilet much more advanced and smart technology. It is compatible with digital assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home, allowing users to activate options such as a bidet sprayer, a hot air dryer and an ultraviolet (UV) light cleaning function simply by voice, without the need for make use of your hands. This smart device can connect to the Kohler Konnect app, offering the ability to customize settings and save preferences for an even more tailored experience for each user. Users will be able to activate functions such as bidet spray and drying with the simple command of their voice through digital assistants. It includes a remote control and offers a heated seat, as well as the ability to adjust water temperature and pressure according to user preferences. It has different spray options, including a special children’s mode that is gentler and gentler, and a “boost” function for maximum pressure spray. In addition, it offers the alternative of an oscillating spray. Kohler ensures that the water is continuously heated to ensure permanent comfort during use. As if that were not enough, it has integrated LED lighting. Alfred Richardson, Kohler’s director of marketing and channel merchandising, says that in terms of design, the company emphasized a slim, low profile, and the E930 should fit most elongated toilets. The inclusion of advanced technologies in everyday products, such as this toilet seat, reflects a growing trend towards incorporating comfort and personalization in the design of living spaces. For example, smart refrigerators have internal cameras so that their contents can be viewed from a smartphone and touch screens on the doors to manage the shopping list, play music or even view recipes in real time. Another example is the smart mirror, which while fulfilling its traditional function, can also show news, the weather, and even allow you to perform exercise routines in front of it with the guidance of a virtual trainer. On January 9, CES 2024, the most important technology fair in the industry, will begin, and for this year announcements are expected in different sectors, although it is estimated that artificial intelligence will have a leading role, due to everything that happened in 2023. During the event there will be space to learn about advances in other consumer topics such as televisions, accessories, IoT devices, sustainable energy, accessibility, video games and home appliances. In 2023, Displace brought a wireless television to CES that gave the show something to talk about. However, at that time the device was a prototype and not many details were given, beyond showing a panel that could be taken anywhere and even placed on a window with glass suction cups. For this year, the company has already confirmed its participation in the event and said that it will bring two finished products: Displace Flex and Displace Mini. These televisions do not need cables or ports to operate, they are “super light” and are controlled with hand gestures. The automotive industry always has a space at the fair and this year some participating brands will be Honda, Hyundai, Kia and Mercedes, bringing advances in electric cars and connectivity. For example, Honda will show a new model of electric sports car, although it did not give details about its new features. Kia will return to the event with several announcements, such as the PBV platform (Platform Beyond the Vehicle), new software and hardware for its cars and electric models, among which there would be a van.
