the report cards of the second evening…

It also starts this evening, live from the Malmö Arena, the second evening of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024and then they also begin our report cards – strictly live – of this second semi-final.

Eurovision 2024: the report cards of the second evening (updating article)

Sarah Bonnici – Loop (Malta) : 6
It seems like Such and Such a Show in which a random girl badly tries to impersonate Dua Lipa. Mah(lta)

Besa – Titan (Albania): 4
Directly from the Albanian version of the Ceremonies Boss. Besa-me, besa-me mucho, but please stop singing.

Marina Satti – Zari (Greece): 0
Bossy falsetone and reggaeton with an unusually badly mixed roll. We are at the third performance and music remains the great absentee from this second semi-final. More than Zari it is Zero.

Nemo – The Code (Switzerland): 7
The most interesting performance so far, in terms of vocality and production. Sometimes a Diney musical, sometimes a disco party. Let’s say that Nemo is already in the final.

Aiko – Pedestal (Czech Republic): 6
Early millennium vibes. It’s a shame about the verses, which are rather anonymous, because the chorus would also work. Music is slowly making its way to the Malmö Arena. But if the evening continues like this I’ll get bored

Slimane – My love (Francia, non in gara): 4
“For what?”, Slimane shouts desperately. The same question we are asking ourselves too.

Kaleen – We Will Rave (Austria): 0
Ariana Gra….ah no. Eurovision is a huge pendulum that swings between a huge blunder and a complaining Frenchman. At this moment the pendulum is full on rudeness.

Saba – Sand (Danimarca): 6
It’s all so familiar that it’s making the rounds and seems innovative. It seems.

Ladaniva – Jako (Armenia): 6,5
One moment JLo’s cosplay is on stage and the next we find ourselves catapulted into an Armenian village festival where a girl – from whom we will never accept candy – sings lalalalala. No friends, Eurovision is a big collective hallucination. Maybe because of those candies.

Lettonia – Dons – Hollow: 2
MastroLindo or Action-Man? Krillin or Tensing? Posterity will judge. Anyway it’s called Latvia because by the first chorus I already fell asleep.

Nebulossa – Zorra (Spain, not competing): Zerro
She wonders if she is a Zorra, we wonder why Zorro doesn’t come to give peace to her tormented soul. Vote? Zerro

Megara – 11:11 (San Marino): 11:11=1
I still didn’t understand where San Marino ended and where the playback began.

Nutsa Buzaladze – Fire Fighter (Georgia): 4
Dude, I have fire fighters in my stomach. In the sense that when I listen to it everything burns inside me AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIUTO

The program and lineup of the second semi-final of Eurovision 2024

This second semi-final will allow us to listen to the 16 competing artists, + 3 of those already qualified for the final (out of the competition). Among the latter also Angelina Mangowhich will thus make its Eurodebut on the Eurovision 2024 stage with The girl.

As for the competition, the format is identical to that of the first semi-final: at the end of the performances the public will vote (via SMS and app) and the 10 most voted performances will have access to the final. Tonight’s 10 finalists + the 10 finalists of the first semi-final + Big 5 (Italy, France, Spain, United Kingdom and Germany) + Sweden (as host country) will make up the shortlist of 26 finalists who will compete for the victory of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 on Saturday 11 May.

This is the order of performance of the artists of this second evening:
