Creative Days Vienna: From climate to media art – the potential of digital technologies for creative people
When it comes to companies and sustainability, many people probably first think of factories and production facilities that need to reduce their CO2 emissions, or perhaps supply chains that need to reduce their climate footprint. But sustainability knows no boundaries and is an issue in many areas that may be unexpected. One of these sectors is the creative industry, whose companies contribute a lot to making districts more attractive and to general city revitalization with innovative projects and offers. The creative industry is at the heart of the Creative Days Vienna, which will take place on June 5th and 6th, 2024 with free admission and will once again network international and national masterminds with innovative creative professionals.
Vienna Business Agency invites you to Biofabrique Vienna
In addition to questions about the impact that digital technologies have on cultural experiences and what opportunities arise from the latest innovations, the Creative Days Vienna will also address how sustainability can be promoted in areas such as architecture, design and industry. The first day takes place in the Biofabrique Vienna, a pilot project of the Vienna Business Agency and Atelier LUMA on the Climate Biennale festival area. The interrelationships between technological innovations, social changes and the creative industries are also discussed.
The Experiential Art Collective Marshmallow Laser Feast kicks off with an Experiential Design Masterclass, where participants get an insight into the collective’s recent work that focuses on nature and the environment. The Creative Days Vienna also offers an exciting two-day program of lectures, tours and networking formats from the fields of architecture, design, film, gaming, fashion, music and fine art.
“Vienna is the central hub of the Austrian creative economy. The industry makes a massive contribution to technological innovations, but also to the typical Viennese business mix in the Grätzel. Impact Days: A fairer and more sustainable future
But the Creative Days are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the topic of sustainability at ViennaUP’24. There are a whole series of other events in which the subject is the focus or at least discussed. One of these is the Impact Days, which the Impact Hub Vienna is organizing in the Hofburg from June 5th to 7th. The event brings together impact investors, entrepreneurs, policy makers and business leaders to work together for a fairer and more sustainable future.

Smart City SuMMit: Solutions for the city of tomorrow
The Smart City SuMMit event focuses on sustainability in cities. This is an annual event to work together on solutions for the city of tomorrow. This year, the focus of the event, which will take place on Thursday, June 4th in the Climate Lab, is the urban energy transition. This requires cross-sector collaboration and innovative solutions. The Climate Lab invites business leaders, experts, decision-makers, innovators and entrepreneurs to get to know solutions and lighthouse projects and to exchange ideas with each other.

Impactful Solutions Exhibition: Experience strong initiatives up close
Not only companies have to be sustainable today, individuals also increasingly want to do something to solve the social and ecological challenges of this time. But many people often don’t know what exactly they can do. This is where the Impactful Solutions Exhibition event comes in, which will take place on Thursday, June 6th at Karlsplatz in Vienna. Here, participants can get to know more than 40 impactful and replicable initiatives (from Europe and beyond) that address the challenges of today’s society. You can then implement these initiatives again on site yourself.

INSIDEOUT Summit: The summit meeting of visionaries
Sustainability means making the world a better place. The INSIDEOUT Summit has set itself this goal and brings together innovators from different sectors to explore targeted innovation. The summit will bring together around 250 visionaries to address pressing global challenges such as climate change, circular economy and sustainability. In addition, it will also be about innovations such as AI, blockchain and robotics. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 5th at the ÖBB Open Innovation Factory.

Shape Tomorrow., which Female Founders is hosting from June 5th to 6th, 2024 at the Museum of Applied Arts. Sustainability is of course also a big issue. The exclusive digital event SDG Metaverse by 1MillionStartups is taking place for the second time this year. With the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the United Nations has created an important framework for sustainable development. With the SDG Metaverse, 1MillionStartups offers a digital space in which participants can talk to exciting startups and innovators and discover solutions that they present for the SDGs. This allows them to learn in a cutting-edge digital environment which innovations can be used to achieve sustainable development goals. The digital event will take place on Friday, June 7th.
