PSM Makassar vs Borneo FC was fierce in the continuation of League 1. Marked by one goal being disallowed, the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Playing at Batakan Stadium, Balikpapan, Friday (29/3/2024), PSM and Borneo exchanged attacks. Both teams played an open game.

In the first half, Borneo FC took a quick lead through Muhammad Sihran in the 9th minute. Sihran, who was standing free, managed to trick Reza Arya Pratama.

PSM scored the equalizing goal through Victor Mansaray in the 23rd minute. But the referee disallowed the goal because it was considered offside.

Left behind, PSM totally dominated. However, until the first half ended no goals were scored, the score was 0-1 in favor of Borneo FC.

In the second half, PSM immediately took over to dominate the game. However, Borneo FC’s tight defense made it difficult for Mansaray to score a goal back.

PSM only scored a goal in the 59th minute. Victor Mansaray escaped control and hit Angga Saputro’s goal with a hard kick. Score 1-1.

Borneo FC surprised PSM’s goal. Rizky Dwi’s hard kick was blocked by Reza Arya.

PSM had another golden opportunity in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, Joao Pedro failed to maximize Victor Mansaray’s mature pass.

The 1-1 score lasted until the final whistle sounded. PSM failed to break Borneo FC’s 18 match unbeaten record.

This result makes PSM stuck in 12th position with 38 points. Meanwhile, Borneo FC remains firmly at the top of the standings with 70 points.
