2K today announced the development by Visual Concepts of WWE 2K24, new episode of the wrestling series soon to be released on our consoles. This year the game will appear on the cover of the standard edition “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodeswhile the multiple champions and winners of the women’s Royal Rumble Bianca Belair e Rhea Ripley will share the cover of the Deluxe edition.
WWE 2K24 features several firsts for the franchise, including the 2K Showcase… of the Immortals celebrating 40 years of WrestleMania, four new match types such as Ambulance and Master Referee, two new MyRISE experiences and many more.
Additionally, fans will be able to count on a vast roster of over 200 WWE Superstars and Legends, including Roman Reigns, Andre the Giant, Becky Lynch, Batista, Kurt Angle, Asuka, Bret Hart, Brock Lesnar, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Chyna and others. Realistic graphics and refined animations – with over 90% of facial expressions updated – along with improvements to ramp cameras and the ability to move the camera during live gameplay, deliver the most visually impressive WWE 2K experience yet .
WWE 2K24 features several hallmarks of the series, as well as new additions and reimaginings of fan-favorite titles:
Lo Showcase 2K.… of the Immortals: For 40 years, WrestleMania has captivated millions of fans around the world, as WWE Superstars became Legends and created unforgettable moments – from Hulk Hogan defeating Andre the Giant, to “Mr. WrestleMania” Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker who put on a momentous match – cementing the legacy of the WWE Hall of Fame.
“The Most Prestigious Stage of All” brought cheers from over 100,000 in attendance as WWE’s greatest icons made history and poured every drop of blood, sweat and tears into the ring. 40 years in the making, WWE 2K24 Showcase… of the Immortals puts players in control, reliving the most iconic moments in WrestleMania history, while 2K’s exclusive Slingshot Technology transforms gameplay into live-action footage and vice versa , for a more immersive WrestleMania gaming experience than ever. A host of unlockable content adds challenge and value to this extraordinary experience;
Iconic roster: WWE 2K24 boasts a stellar roster featuring WWE legends like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Undertaker and Andre the Giant, as well as current WWE Superstars like “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, John Cena, Rhea Ripley and Roman Reigns, whose entrances and signature moves are enhanced by ultra-realistic graphics.
New match types and improvements to existing templates: Players asked for it, and WWE 2K24 delivered, with four exciting new match types: Master Referee, Ambulance Match, Casket Match, and Gauntlet Match. Additionally, the backstage brawl is now supported by 4 players and new interactive elements, including a working elevator, breakable control room glass and a throwable drink dispenser, while the Royal Rumble now offers Support for eight players in 30 Superstar online matches. All the familiar match types from WWE 2K also return, such as WarGames, Extreme Rules, TLC, Submission, Hell in a Cell and many more. Further details on each new match type will be announced shortly;
Gameplay improvementsWWE 2K24 features numerous gameplay enhancements, including Super Moves, Blow-Up mini-game, top-rope diving attack on a group of opponents outside the ring, double title matches, new Paybacks and much more. New weapon types, including trash cans, guitars and microphones, as well as the ability to be used, allow players to give it their all. Additionally, seven real WWE referees are featured to make the experience even more immersive;
My GM: The popular WWE brand management simulation continues to expand with new GMs and brands to choose from, more match types, more drama, more championships, talent scouting, Superstar trading between brands, Superstar contract management and the new Superstar Journey, which allows Superstars to earn XP, train and level up to gain new benefits after participating in matches;
My FACTION: The team-building mode where players choose, manage and upgrade a variety of WWE Superstars and Legends to create their own four-character factions returns with a new purchasable card market and an updated multiplayer experience. Players can now compete in the online Quick Match with unique rewards and seasonal leaderboards, compete in Weekly Towers, and experience a revamped Faction War 2.0, featuring more real factions, more 4v4 match types, a Faction War-specific rewards store and more. New themed card and achievement packs will continue to release regularly throughout the year with seasonal content updates;
My RISE: In WWE 2K’s exclusive career mode, two new storylines – Undisputed (male) and Unleashed (female) – put players in command of specially created Superstars looking to make a name for themselves and cement their legacy in WWE history . Featuring Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Mick Foley and more providing voiceovers for the first time in MyRISE, along with other Superstars and Legends, expanded rewards, original MyRISE characters and unlockables can be transferred to more game modes and new environments, MyRISE impacts the overall WWE 2K experience like never before;
Universe: The definitive WWE Universe sandbox that puts players in charge of Superstar rosters, battles, champions, weekly shows and Premium Live Events, now features expanded Rivalry Actions, including interference, Money in the Bank cashouts , scenarios and brawls, as well as new cutscenes, referee support as special guests, double title matches and a “Loser goes” clause;
Creations menu: The masterpiece of the WWE 2K franchise, the most detailed and robust Creations menu in its category, returns with new support for Referee Creation and Sign Creation, plus new parts and animations to design Superstars, GMs, arenas, entries, movesets, championships and more;
