How to Signature on File PDF with Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Acrobat Reader is the most popular PDF reader application, which has an electronic signature method. This feature can work for both your PC and Mac.

1. Right click (or Ctrl-click) on the PDF file you need to sign. Hover over “Open with” and click “Adobe Acrobat Reader.”

2. Click on the Fill & Signature icon, represented by a calligraphy pen.

3. Click “Signature,” then click “Add Signature.” If you want to add initials, click “Add Initials”.

4. In the column that appears, you are given the option to type your signature, draw it using the mouse, or upload an image. Click on the option you like and fill in your signature. When finished, click “Apply”.

5. Click where you want your signature to appear. This will be noted as its own field in the PDF. You can then resize and reposition the signature as needed.

6. When you’re finished, make sure you save the PDF so you don’t lose your work. You may want to save the PDF with a new name to distinguish the signed version from the unsigned version.

How to Signature on File PDF with Mac using Preview
One of Apple’s products, Mac includes a feature called Preview that allows you to digitally sign PDF files. Follow the steps below.

1. Open the PDF in Preview.

2. Click the “Signature” button, which looks like a signature. If you don’t see this button right away, click the “Show Markup Toolbar” icon. The Signature button will be visible once the Markup Tool is displayed.

3. Then, you can create a signature in three different ways: by using your finger on the trackpad, taking a picture of your signature using your Mac’s camera, using your finger or Apple Pencil on your iPhone or iPad and syncing it with your Mac. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process with your preferred method.

4. Click the “Signature” button again, then click the signature you just created. Next, you can place the signature at the appropriate place on the PDF file and resize it as needed.

How to Signature on File PDF with Adobe Fill & Sign
If you use an iPhone or Android mobile device to digitally sign PDF files, you can download the Adobe Fill & Sign app.

1. Install Adobe Fill & Sign on your mobile device. Once installed, open the application.

2. Sign in to your Adobe account, or register if you don’t have one yet.

3. Tap the PDF document you want to sign.

4. In the tools menu at the top of the screen, tap the icon that resembles a calligraphy pen. When the menu appears, tap “Create Signature.”

5. Using your finger or stylus, sign on the screen in the appropriate fields. Once finished, tap “Done.”

6. Tap the area where you want to add your signature, then tap your signature in the top right corner of the screen. After that, you can resize and move your signature on the document.
