An earthquake measuring 5.1 hit the hinterland of the seaside resort of Paleochora, on the southern slope of the Greek island of Crete, as reported by the USGS geo-seismic institute on its global site, updated in real time. The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers in the earth’s crust. At the moment no damages to things or people have been reported.
