Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel (34) from Minnesota, United States, are reportedly married. Twins Abby and Hensel are married to a nurse and US Army veteran named Josh Bowling.

After their wedding story went viral, Abby and Hensel took to their TikTok account to comment.

“The internet is very noisy today. We are always there,” said the twins, quoted from the TikTok account @abbyandbrittanyhensel, Saturday (30/3/2024).

In a photo uploaded by Heidi Bowling’s Facebook account, Josh and Abby look very happy in their marriage. Abby and Hensel also looked beautiful in their wedding dresses.

In one of the photos, Josh, who is wearing a gray suit, also looks very happy while dancing with Abby, who is now his wife.

Abby and Hensel suffer from conjoined dicephalus twins. This condition makes them share organs from below the waist. Abby can control the right arm and leg, while Hensel controls the left arm and leg.

This pair of conjoined twins were born in 1990. Their parents, Patty and Mike Hansel, decided not to undergo surgery to separate their children. This was decided after the doctor said that the chances of Abby and Brittany surviving after surgery were very small.

“How can you choose between the two?” Mike said in a 2001 interview with Times magazine.

Only about one in 200 thousand live births results in conjoined twins. About 70 percent of conjoined twins are girls and according to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, most of them die.

In the 2003 documentary ‘Joined for Life’, Patty said that her daughter was interested in having children someday.

“It’s probably something that works because those organs work for them,” Patty said.
