Kiev: an unexploded grenade was removed from the chest of a Ukrainian soldier

LONDON – In an operation that according to its authors will go down in “medical history”, a team of surgeons from Kiev extracted an unexploded Russian grenade from the body of a Ukrainian soldier, saving his life. The operation was successful, say the health authorities, and the soldier, who is 28 years old, is now facing the necessarily long recovery period.
