Milan threatened in the fourth minute through Christian Pulisic’s shot. The ball headed towards the goal, but was blocked by goalkeeper Elia Caprile.

The Rossoneri looked more dominant in possession of the ball. However, Stefano Pioli’s men have not been able to pose a significant threat to Empoli’s goal.

Milan only took a 1-0 lead in the 40th minute. Noah Okafor’s low cross was finished with Pulisic’s shot. The score lasted until halftime.

The tempo of the game at the start of the second half seemed mediocre. Milan and Empoli were more patient in dictating the course of the match.

Milan tried to pressure Empoli through the side of the field. Several crosses were launched, but none of them resulted in a significant threat.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek fired a shot from the front of the penalty box in the 74th minute. Caprile was in the right position to parry the ball.

Mattia Destro failed to take advantage of a golden opportunity in the 86th minute. In a free position, Mike Maignan could still catch his header.

No goals were scored during the second half. Milan also won 1-0 over Empoli.
