Recently, the famous Hollywood actor Will Smith admitted that he had khatam or read up to 30 chapters of the Koran during the month of Ramadan. He also expressed his admiration for the holy book.

Launching from Saudi Gazette on Wednesday (20/3/2024), through an interview on the Big Time Podcast program, the man known as Smith said he had been going through difficult times for the last two years. This is what encouraged him to seek inner peace, so he read all the holy books, including the Koran.

“It was a period in my life when I wanted to expand my heart as much as possible so that I could embrace the greatest number of people,” he said.

Smith even expressed deep admiration for the simplicity of the Qur’an. He also told how the story of Prophet Musa AS could shake him.

“I was amazed to see the many references to the Prophet Musa AS in the Koran,” he explained.

Smith also expressed deep admiration for the simplicity of the Koran.

“Another thing I like about the Koran is its simplicity. The Koran is very clear; it is very clear. It is difficult to leave behind misunderstandings,” he explained.

Through this interview, Smith also revealed that he had visited Saudi Arabia and he liked it. There, Smith stopped in the Riyadh city of Jeddah and toured the NEOM project.

“I like life here (Saudi Arabia),” he said.
