    China News Service, May 27. According to the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK) report, on May 26, the sightseeing boat “KAZU1” that sank in the waters off the Shiretoko Peninsula in Hokkaido, Japan, was salvaged from the water after 33 days.

    According to reports, search and rescue personnel have fixed the sightseeing boat on the salvage boat and plan to transfer it ashore in the near future.

    The search and rescue personnel lifted the ship from a depth of 120 meters to about 20 meters underwater on May 23, and towed it to the shore, but an accident occurred during the salvage process and the ship sank again to a depth of more than 180 meters.

    The ship sank on April 23 with 26 people on board, 14 of whom have been confirmed dead and 12 missing.
