BEIJING – “A combination of soft and hard methods should be adopted to make some Starlink satellites lose their functions and destroy the constellation’s operating system if they threaten national security.” So last month some Chinese military scholars wrote in the magazine Modern Defence Technologya study led by Ren Yuanzhen, a researcher at the Beijing Tracking and Telecommunications Institute that reports to the People’s Liberation Army.
