(Manchester United – Burnley 1-1) André Onana (28) played a brilliant game for a long time, but at the end of the game he messed it up.

Just before the end, Burnley were awarded a penalty kick when André Onana in the Manchester United cage came out drunk and tried to box the ball. Instead, he ended up hitting Zeki Amdouni’s head. VAR concluded that it was a penalty kick.

– It is a dangerous game. It’s a good thing judges crack down on it, because it’s ugly. It’s tough for Onana, because he otherwise had a very good match, says football expert in Viaplay, Sigrid Heien Hansen.

The penalty put Amdouni himself coolly in goal. The match ended in a draw, the reaction to that was light booing from the home fans.

– It is very frustrating. It shouldn’t happen. We put ourselves in difficult situations, says United manager Erik ten Hag to Sky Sports after the match.

It was far more evenly played than most expected when relegation-threatened Burnley visited Old Trafford. Although the home team opened the game better, Burnley then took control of the game.

Onana made several good saves. Especially the reaction save from a header from close range was top notch.

– That rescue is ridiculously good, says Heien Hansen.

In the second half, both teams had several good chances, but with just over ten minutes left in normal time, Sander Berge missed it.

The Norwegian got the ball in his own half. He then passed it on to Antony, who could run alone towards the goal. Unbalanced, the United player scored his first Premier League goal of the season.

– There is no doubt that the mistake is ugly. It is a fatal mistake, says football expert in Viaplay, Lars Tjærnås.

The home team then managed to fight back, and after that there were no more goals in the match.

– If your name is Manchester United, you must beat Burnley at home, regardless of which version you come up with, says Tjærnås.

The home side called for a penalty in injury time when Antony shot up the arm of a Burnley player, but John Brooks chose not to blow.

In the last nine Premier League games, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has two wins, four draws and three losses and 17 goals conceded.

Manchester United are in 6th place in the table, six points behind Tottenham in the place above. Burnley are still in 19th place. They have two points up to safe ground.
