Anette Hoff was shocked by where she was going to live during the TV programme.

TV 2’s new TV program “The Game” is finally starting. There, twelve famous faces are transported to a secret destination, without knowing what they are going to do and which rules apply. Here, the participants will live together for twelve days, and will be filmed around the clock.

These are the participants

The reality show must be challenging and unfair. Among other things, the participants themselves decide who has to leave the villa, while the system man will be left with a sum of money earned through participation.

In Friday’s episode, among others, the popular actress Anette Hoff (62) can be seen on the screen, where she experiences what she herself describes as an unexpected and unpleasant experience.

– Many warnings

At the start of the episode, all the participants are on the top floor of a large funk house, but it doesn’t take long before Hoff is eliminated and sent down into the house’s concrete basement.

In connection with the press launch of “The Game”, Dagbladet meets Hoff at Gimle Kino in Frogner. There, the 62-year-old says that she got a big shock when she was sent down to the basement, and that it was much worse than what was shown on TV.

– Didn’t want to join anymore

– It was worse than it looked. It was dripping from the ceiling and the beds were loose, but the biggest problem was the air and the light. The air was very bad, and no natural light came in there.

– Very strenuous

The actress admits that she was about to opt out, and therefore had to make some demands on the production.

– I made it clear that if I am going to survive this, I must have an hour’s ventilation. They actually intended to keep it stricter, but then I didn’t want to participate anymore. That’s why I set some demands and some limits – so they accepted them, says Hoff.

She says, among other things, that it took three to four months of nagging before she agreed to join the programme.

– I said that I will not take part in anything that involves a lot of physical things such as animals, water or jumping with a parachute.

– Really weird

A week before recording, the 62-year-old ironically called the participant manager because she had had a strange dream that they were going to be brought to a bunker underground, and had to make sure that this was not something she should be involved in.

– Only chance I have

– It was very strange that I had exactly that dream, and that it was almost what happened.

Hoff also says that there were several good reasons why she agreed to take part.

– I think it was exciting to do something I’ve never done before, and I thought that I don’t need to take myself so seriously. Then you should not hide the fact that it is also a job, where you earn money. All those things made me say yes.

In conclusion, Hoff says that there were a lot of tough images and strong emotions to see on the screen again, and that she is glad that she survived it all.

– I don’t suffer

– I am glad that I have seen the first episode now, I also know that I am looking forward to seeing the continuation.

– Must not be inhumane conditions

TV 2’s press manager Jan-Petter Dahl confirms that Hoff explained about his dream before the recording started, and that it is clear that certain parallels can be drawn from the dream to the downstairs in the “Game” house. But he still emphasizes that it does not qualify the description “an underground bunker”.

– There is a lower floor in a house, where there is plenty of space of 104 square meters and 3.7 meters under the roof. It is also possible to open a gate directly outside so that you can get both daylight and air. But it is clear that it must feel special to have dreamed something that is so close to reality anyway.

Furthermore, he says that it is not part of the “Game” that people should suffer under inhumane conditions, and that what Hoff says about them initially setting up a stricter regime with ventilation is not true.

Towards NRK

– We feel that we had a good dialogue with Anette about the conditions downstairs – we must also be allowed to say that we are incredibly grateful that she agreed to join our brand new program concept.
