Winner of the Jabuti Prize in 2021, the book The reverse of the skin (Companhia das Letras) was target of censorship in Rio Grande do Sul. The director of a school in the municipality of Santa Cruz do Sul made a video criticizing the “swear” vocabulary in the work.
