As several Italian journalists and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano report, captain Lautaro Martinez is about to extend his contract with Inter Milan.
Discussions are said to have already taken place between those responsible for the club and the Argentine’s agent. The deal is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
Striker waves salary increase
The striker himself should also see his future clearly in Milan and not have any thoughts of farewell. His salary is expected to increase from 6.2 million euros annually to a total of eight million euros. Nothing is yet known about the duration of the new paper.
Key player and captain
The Argentine international’s current contract runs until 2026. Martinez moved to northern Italy in 2018 and was exclusively active for Inter in Europe.
The 26-year-old is indispensable in head coach Simone Inzaghi’s team and contributed 26 goals and five assists in 35 games this season.
