At Solvay Nina sings Mina, benefit concert with Holtre Il Tirreno

PIOMBINO. The countdown has begun and bookings are already numerous for “Nina canta Mina”. The show will take place next Thursday at the “Ernesto Solvay” theater from 9pm and is organized by the Holtre association in synergy with the establishment, Gadsos – an independent group for blood donors for social works – and Efesto. The entire proceeds will be used to develop one of the partnership’s projects, “CucinAbilita”, which resumes after the interruption caused by the coronavirus. Carla Del Seppia, treasurer, confirms the concert is the first initiative of 2024, which will be followed by others over the next few months. «I have known Nina Larocca for some time – says Del Seppia – and I contacted her after her success at the Guardistallo theatre. I proposed an evening to her in Rosignano, she gladly accepted. So, I presented the initiative to president Barbara Rossi and the board and we got organized. The aim is always charity and, in this specific case, for us it is an extension of the path, because we also experiment with music after theater courses and social dinners.”
The repertoire proposed by Nina is of absolute value, given that the songs chosen have been engraved in the memory of numerous generations for decades and belong to the artistic and social history of the country. Giulio Antonelli, Alessio Barberio, Maurizio Paponi, Filippo Todaro, Massimiliano Barberio and Barbara Santucci will take the stage as a special guest. Entrance is free with voluntary donation. For information: 348 3101688 (Prince pastry shop) and 335 6924552 (Holtre). The sum raised will allow us to resume “CucinAbilita”, which before the pandemic saw boys and girls cooking in the restaurants of some starred chefs in the area. Now, thanks to the new headquarters of the association inaugurated last year, the experience will take place in the kitchen in via Aldo Moro from the end of February once a week or twice a month and not only with the starred chefs. The idea, which the board will develop in the next few days, is to compose the dishes in groups following the advice of the chefs and then propose them to the parents for dinner, explaining how they were made and what the ingredients were chosen. During the year, the association will propose the “Autonomie” project and solar fields again. «I’m sure it will be a beautiful evening, engaging for us and the spectators», concluded Carla Del Seppia, recalling that the venue, large and bright, will also host other initiatives on which the president and her collaborators have been working for some time to complete the 2024 calendar.
