On the border between Lebanon and Israel, inside the headquarters of the Unifil mission. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon is a UN military interposition force, created on 19 March 1978 with Resolutions 425 and 426 of the United Nations Security Council. The mandate was renewed several times, following the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, following the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Lebanon in 2000 and on the occasion of the Israeli intervention in Lebanon in 2006.
