At a press conference after his victory against Gaël Monfils in the third round of the Masters 1000 in Miami, Carlos Alcaraz paid a very nice tribute to the Frenchman by establishing a link between their personalities.
“We both try to smile all the time, we try to enjoy tennis every second when it’s our turn to play a match. Thanks to this, we managed to produce a good level of play and a spectacle for the fans that was beautiful to watch. Sharing the court with a player like Gaël is always easier, he makes you smile all the time, he’s a player different from the others.”
