DOHA – Match between National Teams (National Team) Australia vs Uzbekistan on the last matchday of Group B of the 2023 Asian Cup ended in a 1-1 draw, on Tuesday (23/1/2024) evening WIB. The draw then led both teams to qualify for the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup.

Second round


After the break, Uzbekistan immediately stepped on the gas to score an equalizer. The White Wolves managed to score a goal through Umar Eshmurodov’s header in the 59th minute, but unfortunately the goal was disallowed because it was in an offside position.

After that, the match was quite fierce. Australia and Uzbekistan traded attacks but no goals were scored until the match entered the 70th minute.

Until finally, Uzbekistan managed to equalize in the 78th minute thanks to a goal from Azizbek Turgunboev. Australia also tried to score their lead in the remaining time.

Both teams were able to create opportunity after opportunity, but they did not bear fruit. The final result, Australia and Uzbekistan had to settle for a draw with a score of 1-1.
