AUTOSTRADE The collaboration with the State Police continues: three new corners for road safety opened – Companies

The collaboration between the State Police and Autostrade per l’Italia continues to raise awareness of issues related to road safety. After the opening of the first Safety Point on the A1, in the Casilina east service area, 3 other corners were inaugurated in other strategic points of the motorway network. These are Brianza Nord (A4 – Monza), Secchia Ovest (A1 – Modena) and La Pioppa Ovest (A14 – Bologna), three service areas in which correct driving behavior is promoted with the aim of raising awareness among users to respect of the rules of the road.

Each room inside the corner has been set up to host a multimedia totem which, through new software and the strengthening of the Aspi IP network, will allow the video call connection with the State Police and the consultation of audio-video materials on road safety: the totem will be connected with the Traffic Police via tablets, made available by Aspi, which will be used by Police operators to receive video calls from travellers, and therefore guarantee continuity of service every day with 24-hour assistance .

Furthermore, there will also be a monitor to promote communication campaigns and broadcast videos on road safety, while the entire setup was created with the graphics of the Aspi and Police Road Safety Campaign “There are limits to overcome, others to respect”, with an exceptional testimonial: the paralympic athlete Ambra Sabatini.

The synergy between Aspi and the State Police has been taking shape on the motorways for years with multiple initiatives to support travellers, communication campaigns and dedicated interventions. To support this collaboration, tools and technologies are widespread on the motorway network: from the Tutor system – extended over 1,500 km of infrastructure – to the 2 thousand variable message signs and 4 thousand cameras.
