Vienna (OTS) – The current edition of the ORF night talk “Stöckl” on Thursday, January 25th, 2024 at 11 p.m. on ORF 2 will feature actress Monika Baumgartner, bestselling author Sabine Kuegler, doctor and theologian Johannes Huber and director Adrian Goiginger and songwriter Voodoo Jürgens as guests of Barbara Stöckl:

As Elisabeth Gruber, Monika Baumgartner can currently be seen in the 17th season as the mother of the “Bergdoktor”. The 72-year-old Bavarian is also celebrating her 50th stage anniversary this year. In a talk with Barbara Stöckl, she talks, among other things, about her family business and reveals how her tractor driving license helped her land the role in “Bergdoktor”.

Sabine Kuegler became known worldwide as a “jungle child”. The 51-year-old grew up in Western New Guinea among the Fayu people before she went to boarding school in Switzerland as a teenager. She recently published her second book “I no longer swim where the crocodiles are” – in it she tells about her illness that led her back to the jungle.

In his book “The Database of Eternity,” physician and theologian Johannes Huber deals with the meaning of life. The focus is on old writings by Zarathustra, Lao Tzu, Plato and Saint Augustine. In the talk, he reveals what we can learn from the great thinkers today and how science and theology are connected.

Since 2017, filmmaker Adrian Goiginger and the Viennese singer Voodoo Jürgens have been working together on the script for “Rickerl – Music is at most a hobby”. The cinema film co-financed by ORF as part of the film/television agreement recently celebrated its premiere. It tells the story of a songwriter between intoxication and AMS – inspired by the atmosphere of Viennese pub culture. In a talk with moderator Barbara Stöckl, Adrian Goiginger talks about the importance of dialects in his films and Voodoo Jürgens gives insights into his past and upcoming projects.
