“A historical visit”. Similar headlines from two of Israel’s leading newspapers, the Jerusalem Post e Haaretz, leave no room for doubts about the importance of the visit that Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett began yesterday in the United Arab Emirates. The trip is the first time of an Israeli prime minister in the country and comes one year after the signing of the Abrahamic Agreements which marked the beginning of the thaw between Israel and a series of Arab nations: the Emirates but also Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.
Bennett will meet Mohammed bin Zayed today, the crown prince who leads the country.
