On Thursday (March 21), Sava Milošević’s team will cross spears with Ukraine at Bilina Polje in Zenica, and if they are successful in that duel, five days later they will cross spears with the better team from Iceland and Israel at Grbavica.

The BiH representatives have already started arriving at the hotel, where coach Milošević held a press conference.

Everything is really phenomenal, this fear that we had in the last month or two about injuries, now that we put everything together we have to be satisfied. Only Bilbija came with a minor injury, but we will repair that. Kenan Pirić has a shot, and we assume that it will be OK, he is currently in the way, arriving. As far as injuries are concerned, except for Adrian Leon Barišić, thank God, everyone else is fine, so that’s the most important thing and at this moment it’s the biggest reason for our mood.“, Milošević said when addressing the media.

When asked where BiH’s chance lies in the duel with Ukraine, Milošević answered:

I will be direct, but without going into details, I hope you will understand. I see our chance in tactical discipline and interruptions. I think we can have an advantage there, I won’t repeat the home field since you keep complaining about it, but it is certainly our advantage in one way.”

With his chosen ones, he won’t do any training before the duel with the Ukrainians on Bila field, but that doesn’t bother him at all.

We didn’t train even when we were in Zenica, we trained in the training center. I don’t see a problem with that, our players know the field, but I don’t think about it at all.”

Going to the EURO, in which BiH has never played before, is a big deal for younger players, but also for those who are at the end of their careers.

“I think this is the most important match and for one Edin Džeko who is 37 years old, going to a big competition is something that is a big deal in itself. Edin was not, Pjanić was not, these our most experienced players have made such careers, so never they haven’t been to the European Championship. For every player who is there, this match happens once in a lifetime. The motivation of each of them should be at the highest possible level. I know they come with a huge desire, that really won’t be a problem this time. The match it won’t be easy for sure, neither because of the psychological pressure nor because of the quality of the opponent, but everything can be overcome with great will, desire and great sacrifice. We will have to be ready for many things that the game will bring“, said Milošević, adding:

I talked a lot about the previous games and insisted that we deserved some things. Maybe partly we are, partly not. It will come back to us in this game, we have to be ready to make up for everything that this team missed in the previous two years. If we want a good result, we will have to pay here, and that means huge sacrifices over two games“, Milošević concluded.
