Disney recycles The Lion King again and serves up a new film with the help of the planet’s most powerful mother and daughter duo aka Blue Ivy and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter
Mufasa: The Lion King will be nepo-Queen Blue Ivy Carter’s (born 2012) official acting debut.

The prequel is directed by Oscar winner Barry Jenkins (Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk). The script was written by Jeff Nathanson (Catch Me if You Can).
Blue Ivy voices Kiara, the daughter of Nala and Simba.
The Lion King (2019) remains the ninth highest-grossing film of all time via $1.6 billion at the box office.
Word on the streets – alias X – is that Barry Jenkins wanted to have with Blue Ivy after her spellbinding reading of Hair Love.
However, it doesn’t hurt that the 12-year-old is worth 720 million dollars 🙂
“After becoming king of the Pride Lands, Simba decides that his child will follow in his paw prints. At the same time, the origins of his late father – Mufasa – are explored,” says the official Disney synopsis.
Billy Eichner, Seth Rogan and John Kani and return in the roles of Timon, Pumba and the narrator Rafik respectively.
The role gallery is further expanded with the Danish handsome Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Another Glass) 🇩🇰

The animated film Mufasa: The Lion King also features music from iconic composer Hans Zimmer, Pharrell Williams, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Nicholas Britell.
Mufasa: The Lion King gets its cinema premiere in December.
