The wake of actress Jandira Martini took place on Tuesday night, 30th, at the Funeral Home cemetery, in the Bela Vista neighborhood, in São Paulo.
The ceremony was restricted to family and friends. This Wednesday morning, the cremation ceremony will take place, also restricted to family and friends, in Vale dos Pinherais, in Mauá, São Paulo.
Jandira Martini, aged 78, passed away on Monday night, 29, in São Paulo, after a battle with lung cancer. She was admitted to the 9 de Julho Hospital.
“Jandira Martini, my greatest friend and proof that opposites attract and complement each other. Together we wrote plays, film scripts, series and soap operas. My great confidant, advisor and responsible for my biggest laughs. My master. Do you know when you pass by the school you studied at and see that the building has been demolished? This is how I feel about your departure”, wrote actor and director Marcos Caruso, his friend for 40 years, on his social networks.
Born in Santos, Jandira has written soap operas such as “O clone”, “América”, “Desejo prohibido”, “Caminho das Indias”, “Written in the stars” and “Salve Jorge”. The actress’s last work on TV was appearing in the series “Viver do riso”, from 2018.
